About Campaign

ends 31 Jul 2021, 11:59 PM
Singapore is currently facing an increasingly ageing population. Being a young nation, our seniors are not prepared for the challenges that come with ageing, and the younger generation does not understand the needs and worries of the seniors.

On top of health issues, some seniors face cognitive challenges' and undergo serious personality changes. Some seniors are subject to abuse from family members over property disputes. Isolated seniors fall prey to scams. When they are left unattended, some suffer from loneliness, depression, and some of them even turn violent.

Many of the families are unable to offer the care and listening ear to their ageing parents due to work priorities and conflicting demands by young children. Seniors ended up being perceived as burden.

Blossom Seeds supports seniors to stay socially connected and meaningfully engaged through constant learning and volunteer work. This in turn keeps them happy and purposefully driven.

"In this challenging time, it is even more crucial that we build trust and understanding between people of different faiths and religions, to maintain social cohesion and harmony in Singapore.

Let's do our best to support one another during this difficult period, and we will emerge stronger as a community."
