About Campaign

ends 30 Sep 2019, 11:59 PM
Over 2017-2018, Blossom Seeds has grown rapidly by introducing 4 core programmes to take care of elderly in central and Sembawang, Canberra, Gambas constituencies. This year, we also secured a day activity center (Senior citizens) @ 105 Canberra Street, #02-01/06, S750105.

We envisage this to be a club where relevant programmes and workshops are provided to facilitate active ageing. There will also be activities corner for volunteer meetings and training. A counselling room, a health check room, specific area for our medical escort transportation team, physical health restoration corners and Blossom Seeds's new headquarter area are all planned for. We expect to serve up to 5000 seniors in time, offering both centre and home based services for the silver community in the North, with numbers expecting to grow as Singapore's population ages rapidly.

The operating budget and rest of renovation cost for 2019 is estimated at SGD 1.9million*. As this is not supported by any grants, the center will only be partially renovated in 2018. Your contribution is critically needed to support our mission of serving seniors with love and supporting them to actively care for others. It is our aspiration to enable a community of silver folks to continue blossoming positively at their own pace as independently and contribute back to society meaningfully into their golden years. Thank you.

*Any surplus funds will be channeled to our general funds.

About the Charity

Blossom Seeds Limited (BSL) is a registered charity with an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status and a member of National Council of Social Service (NCSS). BSL is supported by BW Monastery primarily through its member's contribution as volunteers. Our vision is to build a compassionate community where everyone blossoms. Our mission is to care for seniors with love and support them to actively care for others. Blossom Seeds relies on the donations from organizations and individuals to fund and sustain our free programs to continuously care for the needy elderly. We also welcome volunteers to join our friendly pool of Blossom Kakis to serve with love and care for the elderly at their homes. Our current address is at 12 Aljunied Road, KH Plaza #03-02 S'389801. Tel: 98156389. Due to funding limitation, we are in process to only renovate part of our new activity centre at Canberra and will move to the renovated zone by end of 2018.
