COVID-19 pandemic has caused major disruptions to all our physical events. Last year 2021, we held our Virtual Blossom Vesak at our centre due to the COVID-19 variant Delta strain.

For 2022, Minister of Health, Mr Ong Ye Kung, has agreed to grace our hybrid event to raise funds for our operational costs for our Active Ageing Centre (AAC) at East Canberra. The event will be streamed live on social media and we will invite the main media to cover the event.

Some of the activities that run in our AAC will be: Shape It Up!, Qigong, Chair Zumba, Chair Yoga, Seated Taiji and KPopX Fitness. In addition, there are also activities which volunteers from Youth Corps Singapore (YCS), Canberra Secondary School and many Educational Institutions engage our homebound seniors online and also physical via the Intergenerational programme on periodically Sats.

The following partners have been invited to our event: BW Monastery, Assyafaah Mosque, Darul Makmur Mosque, Masjid Petempatan Melayu Sembawang, Masjid Yusof Ishak, Holy Tree Sri Balasubramaniar Temple and Covenant Evangelical Free Church & People's Association as supporting partners for this event.

About the Charity

Blossom Seeds Limited (BSL) is a registered charity with an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status and a member of National Council of Social Service (NCSS). BSL is supported by BW Monastery primarily through its member's contribution as volunteers.

Our vision is to build a compassionate community where everyone blossoms. Our mission is to care for seniors with love and support them to actively care for others.

Blossom Seeds relies on the generosity of organizations and individuals to fund and sustain our free programs to continuously care for the needy elderly. We also welcome volunteers to join our friendly pool of Blossom Kakis to serve with love and care for the elderly at their homes.
