"The Reason We Smile - Children Need You" sub-campaign seeks to make a difference in supporting over 12,000 AWWA clients within our 30 services organisation-wide. Your contribution to this campaign will go towards AWWA's Welfare Fund. You are investing in the future for a more inclusive community within Singapore by empowering the greatest potential in our clients.

Meagan was diagnosed by medical professionals to have developmental delays due to a missing cluster of genes. This meant that her development in all aspects will be slow & not be able to walk or express herself. She was also diagnosed with multiple medical conditions affecting her eyes, hearing, and heart. Due to collapsed retinas & underdevelopment in her right eye, her vision was affected, resulting in almost zero vision in her right eye.

When Meagan was enrolled into Kindle Garden, the therapist introduced a walking aid, Kaye Walker, for children with mobility challenges. Using Kaye Walker, she learned to stand, walk & even run! Her daily lessons at Kindle Garden provide a nondiscriminatory environment for children like her to embrace diversity and develop mutual respect from an early age.
