Sri Lanka is in the midst of its worst economic crisis in history. The country imports around 85% of its medical supplies. But with foreign currency reserves running low, essential drugs are now difficult to obtain. (Source: BBC News)

Sri Lanka's healthcare is on verge of collapse in an economic crisis. Doctors across Sri Lanka say hospitals are running out of medicines and essential supplies as the country's economic crisis worsens. They fear a health catastrophe if international help doesn't arrive soon.

All donations will be sent directly to palliative care organisations in Sri Lanka to purchase medical supplies for their patients.

We appeal to your generosity in this situation.

About the Charity

The Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN) is the regional umbrella body dedicated to promoting hospice and palliative care in Asia and the Pacific.

Our purpose is to empower and support organisations and individuals committed to alleviating suffering from life-threatening illness.

We promote education and skills development, enhance awareness and communication, and foster research and collaboration. We encourage established programmes to assist less experienced and more isolated colleagues.
