About Campaign

From a young age, we've been told that success comes to those who work hard. But even in our meritocratic society that rewards hard work, many students from lower income families are forced to give up their post-secondary education to reduce their families' financial burdens, cutting short their goals and dreams.

This is a struggle that the Liang family understood well. Unlike many of their peers, the four siblings struggled to build a comfortable life for themselves amid their family's financial difficulties.

Determined to provide others like themselves with opportunities to pursue their academic endeavours and break out of poverty, the siblings committed a sum to support disadvantaged students.

Their legacy has provided many post-secondary student beneficiaries from AMKFSC with a stronger academic foundation, which has opened doors to better career prospects, bringing social mobility within their reach.

However, many more students remain in need, with parents facing unemployment, critical illness, or even sudden death, leaving the family with little to get by.

With the increase in applications over the past years, our Post-Secondary Education Fund aims to offset a significant portion of schools fees and necessary costs, so that deserving students from low-income families can continue pursuing their dreams by focusing on what matters most: their education.
