About Campaign

All proceeds raised from ADA Star Charity Luncheon will be channeled towards ADA Memories Cafe programme, a weekly two-hour programme set in a public cafe for persons with dementia and their caregivers. It is a social gathering for them to express and forge friendships through drumming, music and dance activities and reduce the societal stigma amongst public diners in a community setting.

Since 2014, Memories Cafe has reached out and impacted the lives of more than 4,600 persons with dementia and their caregivers. It has grown from strength to strength and is filled at almost every session. Managed by 1 staff member with a group of volunteers, we run over 50 sessions per year, on every Saturday. To reach out to more families, there are plans to extend this programme to weekdays.

In our busy schedules, we may neglect those who are vulnerable to social isolation. Through programmes like Memories Cafe, ADA hopes to give them a chance to be integrated into the community, reduce stigma and foster a more dementia inclusive Singapore. Be a star and help us advocate love for those who need our help!

About the Charity

Alzheimer's Disease Association (ADA) was formed in 1990 as a result of a growing concern for the needs of persons with dementia, their families and caregivers. Through our work, the Association hopes to reduce stigma by increasing awareness and understanding of dementia, enabling and involving persons with dementia to be integrated and accepted in the community and leading in the quality of dementia care services which support persons with dementia and their families.

As a non-profit organisation, ADA operates with limited resources. We cannot battle dementia alone. Here's how you can share in our mission and make a difference: Donate today! Proceeds will be used to help fund our programmes and services that will benefit our beneficiaries and their families.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
