About Campaign

The list goes on; discarded nettings, tin cans- we have come across too many species who fell victim to our negligence. All these animals ever wanted was to find for food but instead, ended up struggling to free themselves, to swallow, and in some cases, to breathe.
Dear reader, because you are already reading this line, I know you are on the side of protecting animals. And the fundamental value for speaking up on their behalf is recognising that animals- just like you and I- can feel pain, discomfort, fear, and not to mention helplessness.
My team and I want to do everything we can to help these animals. We have lost some along the way, and it is not a nice feeling to be helpless as those animals would have felt when they were trapped. I want to ensure that our rescue efforts will not be too late and that we are properly equipped to treat the animals' debilitating injuries and tide them through their stress.
Please. Help these animals who have suffered so innocently.
If you could give $50 today, I will be proud to say that your donation will go towards rescue operations, veterinary fees and medical supplies for a week. Additional donations will be channeled to our education and campaign efforts to bring much-needed awareness and advocate for a better world for these animals.
Join me to give these wild animals the second fighting chance they deserve.
Yours sincerely,
Anbarasi Boopal
Deputy Chief Executive
About the Charity
ACRES is a pioneering Singapore-based charity with a sole aim to advocate for an end to animal cruelty in our own backyard. With Singapore's first facility dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade and injured native wild animals we speak up for more animals via our five focus areas: Tackling Wildlife Crime in Singapore, Humane Education, Promoting Cruelty-Free Living, Community Outreach, and Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation.
Since our founding in May 2001, ACRES has helped effect several environmental shifts that pushed Singapore forward in the animal protection movement. Alongside collaborative efforts with governmental agencies, we seek to nurture a responsible society from grassroots level to the individual homes where animals are treated with compassion and respect.
