Having dealt with a stroke, our clients often face a period of loss and fear of the unknown. Their main concern is, will they ever get back to normal?
Our Rehabilitation and Training team work closely with our clients through customised consultations that address the therapeutic, psychosocial and employability needs of persons with physical challenges. Our client's resilience to get better is what inspires us to keep moving. “No matter what, you have to carry on”, said Mr Ang, rehabilitation client.
As for our caregivers, providing them with an avenue for self-expression and respite is of utmost importance to us. ABLE's Tele- Kopi sessions are filled with educational cooking classes and a support group for our caregivers to share their experiences. “Everyone could relate, and everyone supported you through it (the caregiver journey), “said Jane Koe, caregiver.
