Sinaran Charity Campaign 2019
by TAA Trust Fund
A year ago, we featured stories of our beneficiaries that we had the opportunity of journeying with and shared glimpses of their lives to the community through mainstream media in the hope of inspiring many. A year on, a father was reunited with his son. A daughter inspired thousands of TV viewers. And sadly, a mother recently experienced the passing of her beloved child. From the journey with our beneficiaries, witnessing their smiles and tears, we understood that the opportunity to assist them comes with not only continued commitment but urgency. Changing times meant changing circumstances where the opportunity to enlighten lives might be lost, especially for the less fortunate who face multiple health challenges additional to financial difficulties. TAA received the highest number of applications for financial aid in 6 years. The number of beneficiaries in 2019 increased to more than 3,000. With the above in mind and at heart, we are embarking on another charity campaign and we are appealing for your support to journey with us to enable our team to provide sustainable assistance for our beneficiaries from underprivileged families.

Support Children with Special Needs x #GivingWeekSG
by ASSOCIATION FOR PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
What makes a better gift to our children with special needs than the gift of independence and self-reliance? In support of the Giving Week movement and the giving season, we invite you to celebrate the spirit of giving by supporting our beneficiaries at APSN Student Care Centre. Apart from offering activities such as indoor and outdoor games, art and craft, and music and dance, APSN Student Care Centre also reinforces the lessons our beneficiaries learnt in schools by providing guidance on Activities of Daily Living Skill and Community Living Skills. Over time, these skills will enable our students to become independent and self-reliant members of the society. Your gift will go towards programme funding, teaching resources, engagement of external instructors, as well as the sponsorship of centre fees for families who are struggling to make ends meet. Little acts when multiplied by millions make a world of difference. Together, let's build a #CityofGood - an inclusive Singapore that Cares! *A tax-deduction receipt will only be issued upon request. Thank you.
Relay Majulah - Prof Ansgar Cheng Running To Build A Better Singapore For Generations To Come
by President's Challenge
About Relay Majulah Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits. I am a Prosthodontist with Specialist Dental Group and an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Faculty of Dentistry at the National University of Singapore. Running has transformed me - it has not only helped me lose more than 25kg, but also brought meaningful friendships with Singaporeans from different walks of life. It was a great honour for me to represent Singapore, and win the Gold Medal for the 5000m event (M50-54) at the Asia Masters Athletics Championships in 2016 and come in 11th at the World Masters Athletics Championships that same year. I am currently the National Masters Record Holder for the 800m and 5000m and marathon. Relay Majulah is the first of its kind in Singapore. Even though I am only covering 1% of the total relay distance, I know that the other runners are counting on me while I am counting on them for the other 99% of the work. This team effort reflects the nature of the saying "One for All, and All for One." I hope that through my fundraising efforts, I can contribute to build a better Singapore for generations to come.
