SRC Secretary General/CEO Benjamin William: "The combination of an active and bloody conflict, extreme cold weather and Covid-19 means that for the people in the conflict regions and those who have been displaced from their homes, the days ahead will be a struggle for survival. The humanitarian needs on the ground will continue to rise as the conflict intensifies. Our team has been working closely with the Ukrainian Red Cross, the IFRC, the ICRC, and other National Societies to ensure the most appropriate and timely response." by Stroke Support Station
Latest update on 24Jun2022: 1 Day before the 37th DSR , we registered 42 donors with donations amounting to $91,798 (including giving.sg platform, cheques and via PayNow). Only donations through Giving.sg platform will be reflected on this campaign page. Discovering Singapore Ride (DSR) is raising funds for S3 to support stroke survivors and other rehab client's recovery journeys. At the same time, to promote stroke awareness and prevention. Before the pandemic, I visited S3's (Stroke Support Station) two centres to better understand their mission. I was impressed with their specialised equipment and enthusiastic volunteers in rehabilitating stroke patients. After two long years of circuit-breaks, I am using this 37th edition of Discovering Singapore Ride to do some good. I count on your generous support to help me raise $200,000. All donations pledged via the giving.sg platform from 13Jun2022 onwards will be enhanced by a dollar-for-dollar matching by Tote Board, capped at $250,000. S3 was founded in 2015 by the late Mrs Teo Poh Yim who personally saw a gap in community care and support of stroke survivors and their families. This fundraising effort is part of S3's Let's do it 21 x 21 campaign that aims to get everyone to commit to moving actively at least 21 mins per day for 21 days to form a healthy habit for stroke prevention

Dollar Match: The Never-Ending Gift 2022 #NEG22
by Canossaville Children and Community Services
Donate a dollar, it becomes double! All donations to Canossaville's Never-Ending Gift Campaign 2022 are matched dollar-for-dollar by the Singapore Government and Tote Board up to a maximum cap of $250,000 per charity. -- Canossaville celebrates our 81st Anniversary this year and we thank all our supporters and donors for your GIFT that impacts the children and their families entrusted in our care. Canossaville started as Fatima Home on 15 August 1941 at Sallim Road, together with Canossa Convent Primary School, in response to the increasingly urgent need to serve the poor in the Geylang-Aljunied area. Over the years, the Canossian Sisters and the children endured a war, relocation to Malaysia, expansion, and finally as Canossaville Children and Community Services today. Mother Foundress, St Magdalene, always said that we must change with the sign of the times. As such, Canossaville will continue to grow and strengthen our support for the children, families, and the communities. The proceeds from this campaign will ensure that we continue to provide our essential programmes and services to our children and families from all races and faiths, persist in providing early intervention support for our children with hearing loss, and grow and expand our assistance to those in need. Your GIFT today and support for our cause makes a world of difference. Join us today and be a Never-Ending Gift! Thank you!
Afghanistan Earthquake Collection
by RAHMATAN LIL ALAMIN FOUNDATION
The Rahmatan Lil Alamin (Blessings to all) Foundation (RLAF), in collaboration with the Singapore Red Cross, is organising a collection to support the immediate needs of survivors and communities affected by the recent earthquake in Afghanistan. These needs include food, emergency shelter, emergency trauma care, non-food items, as well as water, sanitation and hygiene items. Afghanistan's deadliest earthquake in 20 years, registering a magnitude of 6.1, has claimed the lives of at least 1,000 people, and injured 1,500, with more than 3,000 houses destroyed. The death toll is expected to rise as search and rescue missions continue. The disaster came at a time when the country is already reeling from the impact of a severe economic crisis, prolonged drought and famine. In addition, challenging geographical and weather conditions have slowed down efforts to reach areas in need of assistance. Besides the remote and mountainous locations, logistical challenges are exacerbated by landslides, flooded roads and weak infrastructure. Our hearts go out to the casualties of this humanitarian emergency and their families. For this reason, the RLAF is conducting an online collection via multiple platforms starting Monday, 27 June to 10 July 2022 to support the immediate needs of survivors and affected communities. As per IRAS regulation, these donations are not tax-deductible as they are donations for "foreign charitable purposes''.

Touch a child's life with the magic of theatre!
by Singapore Repertory Theatre
Since its inception, SRT's Student Education Fund (SRTSEF) has sponsored over 20,000 young learners, many of whom have never set foot in the theatre before. As we celebrate SEF's 10th anniversary, we invite you to join us in our dream of making theatre accessible to all children, no matter the financial background. Every year, we work with a number of student care centres, charities and organisations that share our belief that theatre and the arts must be an integral part of a child's education. This includes support for kids with disabilities for our access shows. With every child attending the theatre, we are planting a seed to grow future audiences and inspire the next generation of theatre makers. During these difficult times, children need to be able to escape into a place that inspires their creativity, teaches them social skills, STEM, language and instils positive values. Your contribution to SRT's Student Education Fund will go a long way in helping more children realise the value and importance of the arts in education and life-learning.
