It takes a village to raise a child.
Indeed, family comes in all shapes and sizes.
Out of all Singaporean single-parent households, the proportion of households headed by divorced or separated parents in 2014 was 47%, an increase by 8.1% from 2000*.
Parental presence is vital in every child’s development. Parents create a safe and secure environment for the child, besides disciplining, teaching, caring and playing.
However, when one or both parents is missing due to death, divorce, separation or incarceration, it affects the development of children.
Help empower these organisations which play such an important role
in building the support systems of children and families today!
